Ovadia, Yehuda (Leon)

Yehudah (Leon), son of Shaul and Tamar Ovadia, was born on the 12th of Adar 2, 5624 (18.3.1924) in Greece. He graduated from a high school in Bulgaria. He immigrated to Israel in 1941 and later studied at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school and worked in agriculture. He had a special affection for music. He belonged to the Hagana and participated in the War of Independence. On the 3rd of Adar 5702 (February 20, 1950) he fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
