In his last letter to his cousin, who was about two weeks before his fall, he wrote: “We are talking about the liberation of the Old City soon … I miss you and want to visit the group, but I would be very sorry if I missed the hour without taking part in this great operation … It should also be remembered that I did not see the Old City in general and the Western Wall in particular … “On September 13, 1948, he fell in Jerusalem and was buried in Sheikh Bader A.
