Ortner, Dov (Bernardo)
Son of Haim and Hannah. He was born on May 8, 1935 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied at the ORT school there. He was a member of the Dror youth movement. In 1962 the family immigrated to Israel. In May 1963, he was drafted into the IDF and at the outbreak of the Six-Day War he was in reserve duty.In the battle that took place in Sha’afat in Jerusalem on the second day of the battles, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), during his attack on the outpost, (Or a grenade) and a bear fell. He left a wife and two children. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Yedioth Ahronoth’s agricultural organization brought up its memory.
