Orfali, Jacob

Son of Shlomo and Rachel. He was born on March 22, 1941 in Aleppo, Syria. He was five years old when he immigrated to Israel. He studied at the Mizrachi School in the Ramat-Israel neighborhood (near Tel Aviv) and at the Yavneh School in evening classes. He was a diamond engraver by profession and was drafted into the IDF in February 1959 and from the beginning of his service he was assigned to Golani. He fell in a battle near Tel Katzir on January 31, 1960 and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
