Oppenheimer, Yaakov (Jackie)

The only son of Karl (Chaim) and Kuka. He was born on the 19th of Tishrei 5708 (19.9.1947) in the city of Bari in Italy, and his parents brought him to Israel in 1948. Yaakov completed the Dov Hoz elementary school and later studied at the ORT vocational high school and specialized in mechanical frameworks In August 1965 he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Armored Corps. He did his regular service in this corps but has not yet completed his service. He fell in combat in a fire incident with the enemy in Sinai in the Qantara area of ​​the Suez Canal; This was on the 16th of Elul 5727 (21.9.1967). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
