Oppenheim, Jacob-Mordechai (“Yankele”)


Son of Moshe and Hinda (Helena). He was born on 12.3.1941 in Kfar Saba. He attended elementary school in Kfar Saba and continued there at the Berl Katznelson High School. He was an athlete and belonged to the soccer team at the Hapoel branch. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Air Force Technical School in Haifa, and was engaged in electrical engineering and aircraft instruments. About half a year before he reached the age of military service, he volunteered for the IDF and joined the Israel Air Force, where he served since August 1958. He also participated in the Israel Air Force, and in 1959 he took part in the IDF Chief of Staff’s Cup games. He was loved and loved by everyone who knew him, and he was still serving as a corporal during his service on 27 October 1959. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kfar Saba, Football called “Hapoel-Kfar Saba” (league B).
