Olszewski, Moshe


Son of Esther and Yehoshua, was born on August 31, 1927 in Haifa, where he completed his high school, studied mechanics, and worked in his profession, where he served in the Jewish settlements police and was a member of the Haganah. Moshe served in the Carmeli Brigade and participated in the battles of Malkia, Ramot Naftali and Nabi Yosha, took part in the conquest of Safed, was in the Ein Zeitun, Dan and Dafna systems and recently in Mishmar HaYarden, and during his eight months of service he visited only two times in his home. The first was Operation Brosh to destroy the Syrian bridgehead in the Mishmar Hayarden region, and in the fierce battles in this area, Moshe fell, apparently on the 3rd of Tammuz 5707 (July 10, 1948) And immediately after that date. His corpse was collected with the bodies of his fallen comrades and taken to a mass grave in the military cemetery in Rosh Pina.
