Son of Carol and Anna. He was born on March 12, 1948, in France, where he immigrated to Israel in 1951. He continued his elementary studies at the vocational secondary school “Semet” in the mechanical framework. He enlisted in the navy in August 1966. Yitzhak volunteered for submarine service in June 1967. Yitzhak went to England and was assigned to the Dakar submarine, where he was a talented and diligent mechanic and quickly progressed in his profession. The Chief Rabbinate of Israel decided that the date of Yitzhak’s passing, in the course of carrying out his duties together with the rest, was the 29th of Tevet 5726, (January 30, 1968), since Yitzhak was one of the missing members of the team, he was placed with a memorial monument in the memorial to the people of Dakar at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. (28.5.1999), after years of searching, the INS Dakar submarine was found on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea at a depth of 2,900 meters on its planned sailing route and 250 miles from the port of Haifa. This fallen hero is a “maklan” – a hero whose burial place is unknown.
