Ofer, Ofer
Ben Hannah and Maimon. Born on June 20, 1969 in Jerusalem to a family living in Moshav Bar Giora, he studied at the Nocham Elementary School and later attended the Ort Hanichim High School in Beit Shemesh, In mid-May 1987 and was posted to the General Staff. After basic training he was placed in a unit in the central region as an administrative employee. According to his commanders, he was a very good soldier, sympathetic and kind. During his service he married Rachel. On the 18th of Av 5749 (18.8.1989) while on a honeymoon, Ofer fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by a pregnant woman, parents, two brothers – Doron and Asher, and three sisters – Mira, Osnat and Hagit. After his death, his daughter Ofri was born.
