Was born on May 2, 1960, in Jerusalem, where he was a comfortable, serious and diligent child in his studies and completed his first year of elementary school in Jerusalem, After graduating from the “Ort” school in Jerusalem, Meir moved to Kibbutz Ketura, Near Eilat, for one year, to help in the early stages of the agriculture, Meir loved challenges, such as adventurous hiking and mountain climbing, and in 1978 he joined the IDF and joined the Golani Brigade After serving commanding duties, Meir became a battalion operations officer, and was supposed to take part in a commander’s course, and he was already studying the necessary material. As an operations officer, who was responsible for a battalion exercise in the Sde Boker area, Meir went to the field with the training program, with his weapon and his vehicle, to get to know him well. To that end, he gave up his Sabbath break. Meir intended to join the Pioneer unit, which was already in the training area. On Saturday he left the farm, riding a horse, to land through fields. When he left the farm, the horse fell, and Meir was hit in the head. He fell during his service on the 22nd of Kislev 5742 (22 December 1981) and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He was 21 years old. After his death, Meir was promoted to captain.
