Son of Rachel and Eliyahu, was born on the 22nd of Adar 5722 (22.2.1962) in Petah Tikva. Eyal attended elementary school in Ein Ganim, and after completing eight classes, he went to study at the naval officers’ school in Acre. However, when he was about to join the IDF, he preferred to serve in a combat force in the field, and in November 1981, Eyal enlisted in the IDF and served in the paratroopers. After completing basic training, he completed a course in infantry training, and Eyal was sent to a squad commanders course, but during the course of the course the Peace for Galilee War broke out, and his unit went up to the front in Lebanon. He fought at the leading point in the western sector, as a connection to the commander of his company. During the fighting, Eyal rode up on an armored personnel carrier to monitor what was going on around him: On the first day of the war, on June 6, 1982, his unit reached the outskirts of Tire, And Eyal’s body was missing for several days, until it was found and identified. He was laid to rest on the 14th of Sivan 5742 (14.6.1982) at the military cemetery in Petah Tikva. He was 20 years old when he died. After Eyal was killed, Eyal was promoted to the rank of corporal, and Eyal left behind his parents, two brothers and a sister, and wrote in a letter of condolence to his family: “Eyal gave his life for his homeland. He was an outstanding soldier with a very high personal potential. Was a favorite of his comrades. “The commander of his unit wrote to his family:” You belong to the glorious paratrooper family, which sacrificed many sacrifices on the altar of the security of the people and the state.
