In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family wrote to headquarters: “It is difficult for all of us come to terms with the loss of the Yaffa, and many of those who knew about this lost never complete you. Yaffa was an exceptional soldier, full of energy and devotion. The tragic day of her tragic fall, she traveled freely to the IDF posts on the Golan Heights border to collect addresses and phone numbers from soldiers who wanted to send greetings to their families. Of all the soldiers of the unit, only Yaffa volunteered for this operation of her own free will and without being asked. She did what she did, not out of a desire to stand out, but modestly and with good will. In this act we learned to recognize Yaffa with all the nobility of her soul and with the love of Israel and the homeland that filled her Lev. This has always been the case and therefore we will have a model and exemplary behavior and actions. Her image will not fade from our hearts and her memory will always befall us. “
