Nissim, Shlomo

Son of Eliyahu and Ruhama. He was born on August 16, 1957, in Petah Tikva. He studied at the Nof Yam State School and continued to study at the Ort vocational school in Herzliya. Was a nice boy with a sense of humor. His goodness and his willingness to offer help were for nothing. This was especially evident during the Yom Kippur War, when Shlomo was only 16 years old. His brother-in-law, the husband of his sister Sarah, was called up for reserve service, and his agriculture was in danger of extinction. His sister Sarah says: “Shlomik was my savior: He took on his young shoulders the care of the farm, which included large areas that required devoted care: irrigation, picking, etc., and an animal farm. He was ashamed of her … Shlomik was an angel to me. ” Shlomo was drafted into the IDF in early May 1975 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade because of a slight impairment in his health, volunteered for the Golani Brigade and was assigned to the First Bounty Regiment, and his determination to serve his homeland overcame the difficulties of absorption and the new framework. He took his place among the soldiers, and on May 11, 1976, Shlomo fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Herzliya, where he left five parents and four sisters in a letter of condolence to the family, … Shlomo overcame the difficulties of absorption and got on the high road. Was consistent in his actions and his deeds were for the common good. “To commemorate his memory, his family donated a parochet, prayer books, and a candle to a synagogue in Herzliya.
