Akiva, Sagi Ben Naim, relates: “Nissim was the guide in the first … He knew everything, miracles was a concept.” Nissim will fix, “” miracles will correct, “” miracles will find the way, “” do not worry, miracles here “… every time he talked Come on idealistic and excellent instructors and training at all, always referred to you without a second thought. It was just obvious. ” Nissim’s relationship with Bnei Akiva was maintained even after his enlistment in the IDF, and during his vacations he came to the movement’s branch and took an active part in the activities, “In the 11th grade, Nissim joined the Gadna Navy, took a diving course on behalf of the Navy and completed it. His fitness was excellent and he traveled a lot around the country, whether on foot or on bicycles, because he loved the country, its landscapes Nissim joined the IDF on February 3, 1999, and his love for the sea led him naturally to volunteer for the naval commando unit. After serving for a year or so in the naval commando, he was forced to retire due to injury during training. But no one would give up a combat position. He volunteered for the Givati Brigade, passed the course in the brigade’s reconnaissance unit and served there, first as a regular combat soldier and after successfully completing the officers’ course returned to the commando unit, this time as a team leader. Nissim excelled in excellent navigational skills, was a beloved soldier, disciplined, professional and tidy. Gilad Argaman, a member of the team, said: “Miracles were for the Yoav team and for me a very significant and prominent person, he was one of the people who do a lot and hear them a little … a modest team member and an excellent navigator and a good runner. “His soldiers did not spare their praise for the way that Nissim led them. Kobi, Nissim’s soldier, writes: “Nissim saw the team as his children and always felt a heavy responsibility to bring the team to the end of the course in the best and most professional way. I am sure that much of my professionalism and abilities as a soldier and commander are from him and are influenced by his education. ” Chen Jacob, another soldier of Nissim, writes: “He always taught us to be true to ourselves and thus to be true and help the rest of us, and he influenced us with his strong character and his constant willingness to reach the truth. I believe that thanks to him, at least I have become a better person and more real. ” Nissim was very close to his soldiers, and once when they were on holiday at Beit Goldmintz in Netanya and went out to eat in the center of the city, his soldiers were surprised to see him sitting at the table to eat with them, as if this was a normal thing. And another time, when he was forced to leave one of his soldiers on alert while the rest went on holiday, decided with the commander of another team that faced the same problem that both officers would remainOn alert while their soldiers went on vacation. On February 3, 2002, Nissim began his permanent service as an officer in the Command Training Base at the Central Command. When Operation Defensive Shield began, Nissim left his position and volunteered to serve as a fighter in the platoon of the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade. On the seventh night of Pesach 5768, Nissim was at the head of the first force in the Jenin refugee camp and together with the deputy commander of the Spear company, Lieutenant Eliraz Peretz, they led a two-room force from house to house and from alley to alley to catch terrorists and weapons. Almost impossible, the continuous fighting continued into the night, and the next day, on April 4, 2002, when the force was led, Nissim was wounded by terrorists, and the medic, Yair Hardunai, Rabbi Gad Ezra. With supreme heroism of the warriors, Nissim was rescued when Eliraz carried him on his back to a place of refuge, where he was pronounced dead. Nissim was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Ashdod. He left behind his parents, three brothers and three sisters. He was twenty-two years old when miracles fell. After his death he was promoted to lieutenant. On the character of Nissim as a religious person who takes care of his light even in the harsh conditions of training, even on the last day of the final training after a 120 km track, his teammate Benno Glickman says: “We continued on many different missions that week, On Wednesday before sunset. Miracles lowered the shoes to ventilate the legs. We all had no skin on our feet, but Nissim’s condition was the worst. Then he put on tefillin, stood before the post and prayed, and I saw before me the “perfect Jew,” a Jewish man who believes and fights in life, and no matter what situation he will not forget where he comes from. “Nissim grew up in Beit Ma’amin, the salt of the earth, reached the finest units in the IDF, chose the path of command, giving and leading fighters for the security of Israel. His joining the war in the Jenin refugee camp is not coincidental. He feels the need to be there, to work to eradicate the terror that threatens the homes of the citizens of Israel … Nissim, a wonderful, modest officer, a native of this country, feels every fiber of his soul to give to the security of our families. In his death miracles commanded us life. Of blessed memory.”
