Nissani (Nissenman), Shahar
The only son of Sarah and Itamar was born on April 20, 1959 in Ness Ziona. Shahar began his studies in Ness Ziona. Where he graduated from elementary school and spent two years attending a high school in his city. Shachar spent the next two years at a high school in Be’er Sheva. The family lived in Moshav Omer, where Shahar enjoyed a rich social life. Two years later, the family returned to Ness Ziona. During his studies, Shachar joined the Young Maccabee youth movement, served in Gadna, volunteered for the Civil Guard and joined the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, and was recruited to the IDF in mid-August 1977. Because he was an only child he was unable to serve in a combat unit In the computer unit of the Israel Defense Forces, he was sent to a computer programming course, which he graduated with honors and was assigned to teach at the Military School of Computer Science, where he completed many computer courses, completed an officer’s course and was appointed commander of the school courses. Shahar took advantage of his vacations for nature and landscape trips, bird watching and diving in the Gulf of Eilat Died and left behind a large collection of photographs of birds, rattles, water birds and flowers, mainly pictures of the black iris growing in the hills of Ness Ziona, and during his service he began studying computer sciences at Bar-Ilan University. But he did not have time to live there, and on the 18th of Tevet 5755 (11.1.1985), Captain Shahar died of a serious illness and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Nes Tziona, leaving behind a wife and parents. In order to commemorate his memory, the IDF’s Mamram Library was named after him. The library serves the community of computer personnel in the IDF and students of the School of Computer Science
