Nisanov, Arthur Aron
Ben Shoshana and Shalom. He was born on March 4, 1975 in Uzbekistan, in the Soviet Union. Arthur was orphaned from his father when he was very young and his mother raised him and his brother Albert alone. In Uzbekistan, Arthur studied for 10 years in local schools, and when he immigrated to Israel at the end of 1992, he began working at odd jobs to help support the family. Arthur took great care of his mother and tried to help her whenever she encountered difficulties because of her lack of knowledge of the Hebrew language. At the end of August 1994, Arthur enlisted in the IDF and was assigned to serve as a chef in the “Eyal” battalion of the “Pillar of Fire” battalion. (18.9.1996) Arthur found his death during his service. He was twenty-one when he died. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. He left behind a mother and brother.
