Nimotin, Ilya


Ben Amalia and Simon. He was born on July 31, 1977 in the Soviet Union and immigrated to Israel with his parents in October 1990, to Jerusalem. After graduating, Ilya joined the Horev junior high school in Jerusalem and continued at the Himmelfarb High School in the city where he studied in the physical-physical program. Ilya managed to adjust to the country and to integrate into it, and in November 1995 he joined the IDF for a course in the framework of the Air Force. Ilya’s commander told the course: “Ilya, who began his service in the air force in an aircraft technician course, was a highly motivated soldier who, despite his language difficulties, excelled in excellence and served as an example for his classmates. . On the 25th of Adar 5756 (February 25, 1996), Ilya boarded a bus on bus No. 18. He was on his way from vacation to base, when a Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up on the bus, killing twenty-five. After his fall he was promoted to corporal. Ilia was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents, who memorialized him in a synagogue in Jerusalem.
