Nguaker, Benjamin


Benjamin, son of Miriam and Daniel, was born on May 4, 1943 in India. He completed elementary school in Bombay, India, and then went on to study there for another two years in high school. He then took a professional course for clerks and acquired a profession. In early 1970 he decided to immigrate to Israel and join his family, who were already in Israel. When he arrived in Israel he was sent to Kibbutz Negba. Where he studied Hebrew in a local ulpan. At the end of his studies at the ulpan, he began working at the Dimona Dimona factory until he was drafted into the IDF, and was drafted into the IDF in early July 1971 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. After completing basic training he was sent to an artillery course and certified as a gunner. At first he found it hard to accept the strict discipline of the army, and the personal problems of a lone soldier in a foreign country, without friends and friends, made it difficult for him. But he overcame and tried to contribute his energy and energy to the country. He was indeed a good soldier, satisfied his commanders, and admired his friends. In May 1972, Benjamin was discharged from regular service and assigned to a reserve unit. He began working in a ceramic factory in Yeruham and earned a living. Sometimes he was called for periods of reserve service and always fulfilled his duty faithfully like any other citizen. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Binyamin was drafted and sent with his unit to the Golan Heights. He took part in the fierce battles and incursions against the Syrians. As part of his job, Benjamin did a great deal to stop the enemy’s offensive and push it. The artillery battery, which was part of her team, worked tirelessly and Benjamin contributed his energies and forces to its operation under the harsh conditions of shelling and incessant movement. On the 22nd of Tishrei 5740 (22.10.1973), the Syrians began a heavy bombardment on his embankment. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind three sisters and two brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
