Neumann, Michael

The son of Dr. Israel (James) and Chaya (Klara) was born on Wednesday, 23.5.1928 in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Where he studied until 1947, when he immigrated to Israel as part of Youth Aliyah and came to the Dorot group. Was gifted with a sense of music. A few months before the War of Independence, he joined the ranks of the Palmach and together with his comrades took part in various battles in the Negev, fell during his duties on the 22nd of Elul 5711 (23.9.1951) and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. A wife whose memory was raised in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Wars of the Paratroopers”
