Nestor, Alexander (“Sando”)

Son of David and Esther (Ernestina). He was born on April 12, 1948 in the city of Wesloi, Romania, where he graduated from high school and after a short period immigrated to Israel, where he was drafted into the IDF in April 1966 and served in the navy in the destroyer “Eilat” but did not have time to finish his compulsory service, because on the 18th of Tishrei 5721 (21.10.1967) he died with the rest of his friends while drowning the destroyer by Egyptian missiles in front of the Romanian coast in northern Sinai. He was brought to eternal rest in the Ashdod cemetery.
