Nazarov, Jacob


Son of Gershon and Pnina. He was born on February 3, 1937 in Haifa. After graduating from elementary school (“Bialik”) he went to study at the Max Payne vocational school. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. son of was devoted to his parents and loyal to his family. He was a locksmith by profession. As a staunch athlete, he played in Maccabi. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1955, and after his enlistment he became a lieutenant colonel. He participated in the Sinai Campaign and fell in combat on the 29th of Marcheshvan 5717 (November 3, 1956). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. In Uri Milstein’s book “Wars of the Paratroopers,” his memory was raised.
