Nathan, Daniel


Daniel, son of Georgia and Reuven, was born in 1938 in Iraq and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951. And was assigned to serve in the Armored Corps. After basic training, he was assigned to the Sherman tank gunner and claimed to be a courier. After completing his regular service, Daniel returned to work as a clerk at the Israel Electric Corporation in Haifa, while working slowly and with difficulties. – since he had to support his family and his wife, Tova, in a course for tour guides in the framework of the Rothschild House in Haifa, and after he was ordained he organized tours for all the company’s employees at his place of work. 1963. He took advantage of every spare time for fishing and photography, and came to these achievements with great achievements During the Yom Kippur War, Daniel participated in the armored battles against the Syrians on the Golan Heights, and on October 18, 1973, he was wounded during the battle when his tank battalion attacked the Tel Saki post. He died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest. In the cemetery on the Carmel coast, leaving behind a wife and two daughters – Orit and Galit, parents, brother and sister – and his parents donated a Torah scroll to a synagogue in Haifa.
