Zechariah, son of Bracha and Shalom, was born on the 22nd of Kislev 5712 (December 2, 1950) in Moshav Tzuriel. He studied at the Bar-Ilan religious public school in Kfar Saba and then completed his studies at the Yad Hazamisha printing school in Kfar Chabad, where Zachariah was the eldest of a large family, and as a child the family moved from Zuriel to Kfar- As a child, Zechariah was a peace-loving, comfortable and loving man, and he was always in his adult life, and was always very observant and well-behaved, loved by his friends and everyone he knew, and was very devoted to his parents and siblings. The printing profession was trained as a regular. Zechariah was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1969 and as a member of the Halamish settlement group, he was posted to the Nahal Brigade. After basic training, he was in the army in Komemiyut, and after completing his tank training course “Centurion” and was assigned his job as a liaison courier, he was sent back to Shalhat in Komemiyut. His discharge certificate indicated that he was a good soldier and fulfilled his duties properly and with dedication. After completing his regular service he was assigned to a reserve unit of the Armored Corps as a liaison officer in a tank. When he returned to civilian life, he began working in his profession in the Maariv press in Tel Aviv and succeeded in his work. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Zechariah appeared in his unit. Together with his battalion, he participated in the battles against the Syrians in the Golan Heights as a tank crew member. On the 7th of Tishrei 5734 (October 7, 1973) Zachariah was killed and killed. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of his unit wrote: “Your son fulfilled his duty with dedication and loyalty.
