Nakash, Avraham
Son of Sarah and Ezra, was born on April 15, 1931 in Aleppo, Syria. In his youth, when he was in Syria, he heard the Hagana’s voice and his soul longed to be one of its members. When he arrived in Israel on May 12, 1944, Avraham joined the Haganah and participated in the underground activities as much as was imposed on him and fulfilled every order with dedication and precision. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, Avraham was among the first to join the army, served in the “Kiryati” Brigade and participated in battles around Tel Aviv. He served as a liaison and went to work with a company of scouts. Avraham fell in Tzrifin on 4 Sivan, June 11, 1948. He was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
