Nagar, Zadok (“Kushi”)


Zadok, son of Haim and Zahara Nagar, was born on April 21, 1943 in Yemen. Immigrated to Israel in 1949. After completing his studies at the “Yavneh” elementary school in Kiryat Ata he studied electrical engineering in a vocational school in Haifa. During his spare time, he liked to play soccer at Hapoel and was a sports instructor in the evenings. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1964. After his discharge, he was on reserve duty from time to time. On the fifth day of the Six-Day War, Zadok was wounded and on 9 Sivan, June 17, 1967, he died of his wounds. He left a wife and a girl who was not yet two years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
