Nagar, Yaakov
Son of Shoshana and Yosef was born on 27 April 1952 in Netanya, where he moved to Be’er Sheva with his family, where he completed his studies in elementary school and continued to study at the vocational school “Amal” in the field of automotive mechanics. In 1970 he completed his studies and enlisted in the IDF. He underwent general training and was assigned to serve as a mechanic in an armored corps workshop. While serving in the IAF, while working on a tank turret, he was wounded and recognized as a partial invalid, but continued to serve in the Armored Corps. In the fall of 1973 he married. Shortly after his marriage, the Yom Kippur War broke out. Throughout the war, Yaakov served in the tank workshops at the front. He excelled both as a guide and as a professional. Yaakov was promoted to the rank of major sergeant, and he was loved by his friends and commanders and served as a model for his modesty, integrity, and gentleness. He was very devoted to his wife and parents and served as an example to his younger brothers. On December 6, 1982, Jacob fell in service at the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving behind a wife, parents, three brothers and a sister
