Israel, son of Yael and Daniel, was born in 1950 in Iraq and immigrated to Israel with his family a year later. He completed his first two years of studies at the Rashi School in Tel Aviv, and completed his elementary studies at the Beit Avraham School in Jaffa, completing his high school studies at the Tel Aviv Municipal High School in Tel Aviv And continued to study there for another year and was appointed as a certified bookkeeper.Israel was drafted into the IDF in May 1969 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training, he completed a tank training course and was certified as a tank driver and a tank gunner. After completing his duties, he was sent to take part in a course for tank commanders. He was ordained as a military officer and served in the army during the course of his military service, and served as a sergeant for a tank division, after which he was stationed in a reserve unit of the Armored Corps. As a bookkeeper, first in a private office and later in Israel Electronics Co. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, he joined his unit, which was sent to the front in the Golan Heights, and participated in the battles against the Syrians.
