Nadler, Ze’ev (Willy)


Son of Yehoshua. He was born in 1901 in Bohorshoni, Galicia. In 1934 he immigrated illegally to Palestine and settled in Tel Aviv. For a living he worked as a taxi driver and also served as a guide for British military personnel. In 1938 he managed to obtain a permit to enter Palestine for his wife and son who remained abroad after his immigration and he went to Poland to bring them. On the 28th of Cheshvan 5639 (October 28, 1938), during a military service to the village of Sirkin, he went on a mine and sustained serious wounds, and after many hours of suffering he died of his wounds that day and was brought to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery.
