Avraham, son of Klima and Amos (Kamus), was born on 16.12.1939 in Tripoli, Libya, and immigrated to Israel as part of Youth Aliya in 1952. He studied at the “Aliyah” institution in Petach Tikvah. He continued his studies at the Hebrew Teachers’ He studied at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan and was an outstanding student, especially in agriculture and linguistics, and knew five languages about Boreen: “He was a very industrious boy with an independent personality, He is always a man of Torah, with the love of Israel and the love of man, who is meticulous and observant in every mitzvah that is as light as possible. He was friendly, a loyal confidant, patient and patient, and he never took care of anyone else, and he gave in, far from quarreling and pursuing peace, loved and respected, ready to help others, kind, gentle and pleasant. Joined the IDF at the end of July 1957. After completing his basic training, he took part in a course for infantry commanders and a course from machine-gun fire. On behalf of his group, he was sent as a guide to Kibbutz Hefetz Chaim and later served as a commander of a grade in Kerem Shalom, on the border of the Gaza Strip. In a certificate given to him before he was released from the service, his commanders wrote: “Abraham is a good and disciplined soldier, with good ability, who does everything he is entrusted with with great devotion to his position.” After he was discharged from regular army service he devoted himself to education and teaching. He taught immigrant youth, taught at an institution he studied in his youth – the “Aliyah” institution, was sent to Canada and engaged in educational activities there for about four years, and made many people to immigrate to Israel. When he returned from his mission, he was a teacher-counselor in Or Yehuda. “He looked up to help every young man, and to give the boys who lacked the sense of home in their childhood – an atmosphere of warmth and belonging,” he said, “and his parents and students admired him very much. Avraham was a loyal son of his parents, a devoted husband to his wife Sarah, and a loving father to his two daughters – Michal and Tzofia. For his part in the war in 1967 he was awarded the “Six Day War”. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Avraham was drafted and sent with his unit to the front in Sinai. On the first day of the war, on October 6, 1973, he was hit and killed by an artillery bombardment at a combat post in the “Mafrek” stronghold, first considered a missing person, and later declared a burial site. A brother and two sisters, a brother, three brothers and four sisters, and was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant, and in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Avraham fought with great courage and fell in defense of his comrades and the home front. He was a man and a model warrior. We, the commanders of the unit and its soldiers, are in pain together with you. “His family donated a Torah scroll to the Maalot Kedoshim synagogue in Petach Tikvah.
