From his youth, Amal stood out as a wise, modest and shy student who contributed to the educational and social atmosphere and invested with all his heart. He was loved by everyone, nice and caring, full of smiles and humor. Everyone in his way was quickly captivated by the inner joy and lightness he radiated, as someone who knew how to extract the sweet taste of life. Amel’s favorite hobby was bodybuilding and martial arts and he did not spare himself effort and investment. Swimming and karate were his main concern, but he also practiced athletics and running. During his high school years, he was a member of the Youth Administration in the Northern District and took an active part in the Gadna summer projects in marches, sports competitions and races, always leading and winning impressive certificates of excellence. Instilling in them the spirit of consolidation and brotherhood and the aspiration to achieve any goal. Amal, whose career was fraught with challenges for them, worked hard and believed wholeheartedly in the need to volunteer for the army, out of a sense of mission and deep commitment and a desire to achieve personal fulfillment. As a member of a family of warriors, he also dreamed of serving in an elite unit and the ideology he advocated in practice when he made a bold and fateful decision to temporarily give up the academic studies he had begun and enlist in the army. Amal was drafted into the IDF at the end of March 1996 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade in order to become a combat soldier. He began his training at the paratroopers base, where he underwent basic training and advanced training. Later on he went to a sniper course and at the end of the combat path, with the company of March 1996, joined the battalion’s battalion company, during which he carried out daring operational activities in Lebanon, sometimes endangering his life, on the Aisha line. Amal’s commanders were impressed by his willingness to sacrifice, the spirit he displayed, the peace of mind and the ability to persevere in which he was endowed, and placed heavy responsibilities on him. In the course of his service, he became part of the staff of the August 1997 company and served as a platoon commander, the right hand of the company commander, who was an open man who kept his privacy zealously and did not reveal his feelings. He discovered that during his service in Lebanon, he was injured in his leg and spent a week in the hospital in Safed, where he told his family, so that he would not be surprised. , Who served in Golani, met from time to time on the border fence, during the exchange of units, and exchanged experiences with him The four brothers, all of whom had clung to the pride of his unit, all predicted a bright future for Amel in the fields of sports and academia, and Amal himself aspired to study law after the liberation but failed to fulfill his plans. The family also held commemorative ceremonies with the participation of soldiers from his unit, the head of the local council and council members, and hundreds of guests.
