Musioff, Daniel

Son of Leah and Rehavia, was born on September 28, 1962 in Paris, the capital of France. When he was five years old, his parents immigrated to Eretz Israel and settled in Jerusalem, where he studied at the Maaleh high school. From his youth he discovered artistic tendencies and during his studies organized a sort of “dramatic studio” in his class. He painted well, but mostly excelled in fine metal works. This work of art was also his profession, and Daniel was the father of his father, a well-known jewelry merchant, and in fact his hands were famous. Daniel was very interested in aviation and even completed an aviation course, and at the outbreak of the War of Independence he asked to be accepted into the air force, but the answer was too late to come and his Lev did not let him stand by. He joined one of the combat battalions in the Jerusalem Brigade and after a short training period was transferred to the radar camp near Biddu village near Jerusalem. In the meantime, his regiment arrived at the headquarters of his battalion to be sent to the IAF, but was delayed due to the shortage of excellent fighters at the time. On the 17th of Iyar 5708 (26.5.1948), the Legion attacked the radar camp and succeeded in conquering it. In this battle fell. On the 17th of Cheshvan 5710 (17.11.1949) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
