Moyal, David (Dede)
Son of Odette and Joseph. He was born in 1956 in Morocco and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1962. David was drafted into the IDF in early February 1974 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. After basic training, he underwent a professional course, was trained as a gunner and transferred to a moving artillery unit. He did his best, but because of his health, he was transferred to the air force, where he served as a general employee and as a worker who had been established. During his service, he was awarded the operational service certificate and the certificate of discharge from the regular service stated that he “fulfilled his duties properly for the best possible.” At the beginning of February 1977, David was released from regular service and began working in a cafe he rented. He married and the couple had a son. David served in the Artillery Corps. On the sixth day of Adar 5702 (February 23, 1980), David fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Rehovot, leaving a wife and son, parents and brothers.
