Son of Yehuda and Shoshana. He was born on August 28, 1943 in Jerusalem. As a member of a traditional family, he attended the “Tachkemoni” and “Ma’aleh” religious elementary school in Jerusalem and was a member of the Bnei Akiva religious youth movement. He completed his studies at the ORT vocational high school in Jerusalem. He also graduated with honors from the battalion commanders’ course in Gadna. He loved sports and excelled in school sports. Prior to his induction he worked in a factory for fine mechanics, “security.” Boaz enlisted in the IDF in early May 1961.
