Mosri, Isaac
Son of Jacob and her daughter. He was born on January 25, 1948 in Tel Aviv. The parents – members of the Damascusian community, immigrants from Syria, who immigrated to Israel in 1935 and settled in Tel Aviv. Yitzhak, the fourth son in the family, first studied at the Druyanov Elementary School and later moved to the Alexander Yanai School and completed his studies there. He belonged to the Betar soccer team in his city and was a sports enthusiast, and was drafted into the IDF in February 1966 and served in the Armored Corps. While in compulsory service, the Six-Day War broke out, and in the battle at the Oakland outpost, north of Umm Shehan, as a tank crew member, he fell from the shell of an enemy tank. It was on the first day of the fighting, June 26, 1967. He was laid to rest at the military emergency cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
