Moshkovitz, Avraham-Ze’ev (Wolby)


Son of Rachel and David, was born on the 23rd of Av, August 28, 1910 in the city of Nasuda, Transylvania (then – Austria-Hungary), Romania. Avraham studied at yeshiva in Tel Aviv. He served in the “Kiryati” Brigade and held guard posts within the boundaries of the city, subject to danger day and night. On the 14th of Sivan 5708 (June 21, 1948) he was killed in the Abu Kabir neighborhood of Jaffa when he tried to remove a bullet that had been stuck in his submachine gun. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Nachlat Yitzhak. He left a wife and two children.
