Moshkovitch, Shimon


Son of Israel and Sarah. He was born on January 25, 1920, in the city of Drechka, Hungary, where he was educated in an elementary school in his city, and during the Second World War the Hungarian authorities forced him into labor camps and at the end of the war he was put in a concentration camp in Austria. He was released from there by the American authorities, and upon his return to Hungary he took his childhood friend and his wife, who decided to immigrate to Israel after a long and arduous journey. He was drafted into the IDF in June 1948. In the course of his service on the 19th of Av, (21.8.1951) fell and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. He left a wife and a child.
