Moshkovitch, Malachi


Son of Sonia and Baruch, was born on January 24, 1929 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the “Nes Ziona” elementary school and later at the Hebrew Gymnasium “Herzliya”. He was fond of his teachers and friends, among whom he stood out in his ambitions and conscience. Malachi knew how to prove his friends with equanimity and moderation but without compromise. He devoted himself to real studies and aspired to be a mechanical engineer. He also achieved considerable achievements in sports and received the Wandering Cup given by the Gymnasium. He was also a music lover. Malachi joined the Hagana at the age of 15 and graduated from the Kibbutz Movement in 1947. He was a member of the Kibbutz Movement in Kibbutz Dafna, where he read a lot and was interested in political economy. And served in the “Yiftach” Brigade, where he was wounded and recovered from his wounds, and in his letters home he reacted vigorously to rumors of a compromising and peace-seeking mood at any price that seemed to have spread in the rear.
