Moshenberg, Yitzhak
Son of Tzirla and Chaim, was born on the 13th of Tevet, December 20, 1915, in Poland. He graduated from high school and studied printing. In the summer of 1939 he boarded the ship “Les Perlus”. During the Second World War he served five and a half years in the British Army and spent his last years of service in the Jewish Brigade, where he received a medal of honor for saving three children. After his discharge from the army he lived with his wife and child in the veterans’ housing in Holon and worked in his profession. During the War of Independence, Yitzhak returned to service in the “Kiryati” brigade and participated in the “Danny” operation. On the 4th of Tammuz 5707 (July 11, 1948) in the Deir-Tarif area near Beit-Nabala where he fell. He was laid to rest at the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
