Moshe, Zechariah

Son of Shim’a and Shalom-Chaim, was born in 1929 in the city of Gehagan, Yemen, and in 1943 immigrated to Israel with his family. The family settled in the village of Marmorek near Rehovot. In his youth he studied in the Bible, Rashi, Mishna, Gemara and Tosafot, Halacha, and in Israel he began to work in every job that came to him. The “intruders” of the Harel Brigade in the Palmach and participated in the liberation of the road to Jerusalem. Zechariah fell in Kiryat Anavim on Tuesday, June 10, 1948. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
