Roy was a model soldier and represented his base in an image clip. He was an exemplary friend, a loving and caring brother, and he had a smile on his face. In the past two years, Roi has had a girlfriend, Moran. During a soccer match, Roi collapsed and was rushed to the Soroka Hospital. After a week, on February 14, 2003, Roi died and he was twenty years old. Sergeant Roi Moshe Zada ​​was buried in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Roi’s memory was established by his friends at the Gilad soccer team in Ashkelon, testifying to his unique and special warmth. In addition, a two-hour video was prepared by his girlfriend to the base. His sister Dikla wrote a poem in his memory: “In one day you suddenly seemed / during the soccer game you loved so much … For a week we asked and prayed / to open your eyes and be with us again / Dear son and beloved brother / A day that passes intensifies the pain. Your smile will eternally be engraved in our hearts / Your image will forever rest in our soul / Rest on your bed in peace / Wrap you away with love. Moshe, the base commander, eulogized him: “Everyone who knew you must remember the constant smile on your face … Every time I briefed you before you left, you were always relaxed and smiling, I wanted to tell you that I met your family during your hospitalization and I want to tell you to be proud up there.
