Moshe, Sami

Their son was the firstborn of Zion and Rachel. He was born on 15 April 1949 in Baghdad and immigrated with his family to Israel in 1951. He attended the Gordon Elementary School and the Aryeh Tagger High School in Ashkelon. He was a kind and kind boy who liked classical music, poetry and painting. Just as he was devoted to his parents and family, he was a diligent student, hardworking and devoted to studies. His ambition was to study psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem after his military service. Sami was drafted into the IDF in early August 1967, and during his service he became fond of all his commanders, and at that time he met with his girlfriend, who was very dear to him and who served with him in the unit, so he served almost until the end of his regular service. “Sergeant Sami served in our unit from the completion of basic training and throughout his service he was an exemplary soldier, responsible and dedicated to his job, and he served as a soldier in the army, Kindhearted and loyal friend. In the last two months of his life Sammy struggled for his life and together with you, dear parents, we were full of hope that he would indeed be able to continue to be with us. But how great is the sorrow and pain that has come to our fate to part with it. “
