Moshe, Rivkah
The eldest daughter of Fanya and Jacob. Rivka (Ricki) was born on Wednesday, 16 October 1977, in Ashkelon, where her younger brother, Shai, was born. Ricky was an outstanding student throughout her years of elementary school and high school in the ORT named after Henry Ronson in Ashkelon. Ricky enlisted in the IDF in 1995. After a short period of basic training she was assigned as a soldier in the southern region of the Israel Security Agency (ISA). Her placement and service brought her and her family great pride. Ricki’s military service was very interesting and significant for her, and after her release she decided to develop her professional and employment future as a civil servant within the framework of the Israel Security Agency. Ricky was assigned as a teleprinter operator and at the same time worked for a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Bar-Ilan University. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2001 with honors. In 2002, Riki served as the administrative assistant to the head of the security administration for assistance. Ricky loved the framework of her work and her various roles that were accompanied by a great deal of challenging work. She also enjoyed collaborating with fellow researchers who worked alongside her.
After years of friendship and partnership with Shahak, whom she met during high school, they married and established a family unit. In 2006, their eldest daughter, Dafna, were born, and a year later their second daughter, Noga, was born. Ricky gave her daughters much love, but only briefly. In 2008 Ricky contracted a serious illness. She fought valiantly for her illness, which she surrendered after about a year. Ricky died on 29 Tamuz, 21.7.2009. She was thirty-two years old. She was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Survived by her husband, two daughters, parents and brother.
