Moshe, Dror


Son of Allegra and Nissim. He was born on 15.1.1968 in Tiberias. He began his studies at the seventh elementary school in Tiberias, and continued with the general humanitarian orientation of the Nahalal High School. At the end of his studies he worked as a construction electrician until he left for a pre-military course. In the middle of February 1986, Dror was drafted into a compulsory army service and underwent basic training, and was sent to a cadet training course at Training Base 6 and was appointed as a truck driver in the security zone on the northern border. When his unit repulsed a terrorist attack that tried to capture one of the IDF posts. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Tiberias. Survived by his parents, two sisters – Ziva, and Shimrit, and three brothers – Eli, Avital and Lior. He was nineteen when he died. Part of the letter of condolence to the bereaved family, written by the unit commander: “Dror served in the security zone for about a year. In his role he was active and volunteered to carry out many tasks in a joint effort by the soldiers of the unit to prevent infiltration of terrorists into the security zone and into Israel. He was a good friend, faithful to his friends and commanders. The first of his friends would arrive at an operational event.
