Moshe, Chaim
Son of Moshe and Sabihah. He was born on April 11, 1958 in Rishon Letzion. Here he studied at the Yesod elementary school. He completed his studies at the Nes Tziona High School in Nes Tziona, where he specialized in the field of building and electrical engineering. Haim was a cheerful and very well-loved boy, and he enjoyed his natural cleverness and delight. Cheers had an evening voice. At social parties he sang and imitated various singers, and during his other free time he dealt with his many hobbies. He liked to shoot and was a good athlete – especially basketball and soccer. His great love was for the animals. From time to time he would collect abandoned dogs from the street, bring them to his home and take care of them. Yes, he collected flying insects and used to feed them and call them names. At the beginning of May 1976 he was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the infantry, and during his service he underwent a parachuting course and a sappers’ course, both of whom finished with good grades and was assigned in his unit as infantry and sabotage fighter. On the 17th of Tammuz 5738 (22.7.1978) he fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. Survived by his parents, four brothers and a sister. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “Chaim joined the battalion as a fighter and a thief, and he excelled as an excellent fighter and as a reliable soldier who could help his friends in difficult moments.
