Moses, Noah
Son of Adina and Isaac Haim, was born on the 2 nd of September, 1925 in Haifa and acquired his education at the Reali School. At a young age he joined the Scouts movement and was a guide. With his friends in the movement, he often went to camps and trips and wrote poems about his experiences during this youthful period. When he was 17, he completed a course for commanders in the Haganah and was appointed head of the Hagam of the Reali School. In 1946, he was ordained as a platoon commander, participated in high-level courses and in Haganah operations. The idea of his life was to train physical training for the Hebrew youth and make him able to hold arms. After graduating in 1947 he went to England to study at a high school for physical education. During his spare time, he taught Hebrew to Jewish youth in Glasgow and lectured there on the Land of Israel. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, he sent letters to Israel, expressing his desire to return immediately and go to the front. When he heard about the fall of the “LH” department, which felt the help of Gush Etzion, he wrote to his father: “I am willing to take the place of each one of them.” On March 11, 1948, “When he demanded that he be released from any training and participated in the front,” I can not sit idly by. He was drafted into the Carmeli Brigade, fought in Ramat Yohanan and fell there in battles with the Druze on April 16, 1948, five days after his return to Israel. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. After his fall, he was promoted to lieutenant.
