Mordechai, Daniel (Danny)


Ben Esther and Khamis. Daniel (Danny) was born in Moshav Olish on April 10, 1961. Throughout his childhood and until his enlistment in the Israel Police Force, Daniel lived in Moshav Olish. He attended the “Ami Asaf” elementary school and the Ruppin High School in the Emek Hefer Regional Council. Daniel enlisted in the IDF in August 1979 and served as a combat soldier in the Golani Brigade in the 51st Battalion. On 11 March 1984, Daniel was drafted into the Israel Police. At first he served in tour roles. Later as a youth researcher. As a youth researcher, Daniel dealt with many young people who owe him their rehabilitation and return to formal educational frameworks. Daniel also served in management positions. His last position was an NCO in the Hof Hasharon Regional Council, where he managed to combine classic police work with a community service approach, creating exceptional working relations with the residents and with the council’s employees. He set up a unit of cavalry, consisting of about 20 volunteer horsemen, who took part in many campaigns, including searching for missing persons, security of people, etc. In the last year of his work he brought Daniel, for the capture of many suspects for property offenses, and was a partner in the crackdown Drug dealing, extortion and threats among youth Daniel was a proud moshav, a loving husband and father, a loyal friend, a professional, enterprising, resourceful and committed to his cause. His service in the police received many letters of appreciation and appreciation, and certificates of excellence were awarded to him on various subjects: Daniel’s life was interrupted after twenty years of service with the Israel Police on October 10, 2004, during the Brawer examination. Senior sergeant Daniel fell in the line of duty. He was forty-three when he fell. He was buried in the cemetery in the city of Hush. Survived a woman – Ilana, three children – Ortal, Amichai and Itai, and parents – Esther and Khamis. After his fall, Daniel was awarded the “President of the State Award” as an outstanding policeman for 2004.
