Moravia, Hofit

Daughter of Irit and Mutti, the middle sister of Gal and Almog. She was born on May 25, 1983 in Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot. She grew up, was raised and lived all her life in Rishon Letzion. Hofit was given the name Hofit by her brother Gal who claimed, “If I wave, it also belongs to the subject of the sea and it is called Hofit.” Hofit was a smiling and laughing girl. At the age of two, she visited the Milka kindergarten and from there moved to the Ruti and Ruti Municipal Garden – the spring garden. A day before the end of her kindergarten year, she complained of severe stomach pains, and after twenty-four hours of uncommon suffering for her age, she was operated on, and it turned out that the appendix had exploded in her body. During the period she was in the hospital she did not complain, and even during the difficult moments she could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hofit went to first grade at Yesod HaMa’ala Elementary School. She quickly acquired her reading skills and from this moment she discovered the whole world of the book kingdom. Hofit devoted herself entirely to the joy of reading: she would read in the morning, brushing her teeth; during the drive; In the homes of its members; During classes and throughout the years. At the end of sixth grade, Hofit moved to junior high school “last of the pastimes”. Here too, the librarians testified, she read boundlessly and even changed books in a library that belonged to teachers only. Her teachers say she was a good student, quiet, volunteer and active, always willing to help. Hofit worked as an instructor in high school as part of her personal commitment, as well as training in summer camps and a training course for young instructors and her high school studies at the Amit Amal High School in Rishon LeZion. She began the year with a sociological track on the grounds that “I have to work with people, help them and understand them.” When asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, she replied: “I want to be a psychologist, a social worker or a psychiatrist.” But soon after she started her studies, she wanted to move on to another trend, claiming that “right now they are studying an introduction, that I will study at university, now I’m sorry for the time.” Hofit moved to the media and quickly connected to the field of cinema. She loved to watch movies and learned to analyze them. Hofit was very interested in the subject of the Holocaust. She purchased books, theoretical and historical literature, testimony books, and any book related to the content world of the Holocaust. She studied and delved into the subject of the Holocaust, which was in her blood and made a strong impression on her. As part of the graduation project, Hofit and her friends Shachar and Maayan created the film “Memory”, which deals with the commemoration of soldiers after their fall, with an emphasis on the role of Yad Labanim in Rishon Letzion. The project raised sharp questions on Shufit regarding bereavement and loss. Her conclusion was that the most important thing is to perpetuate space, and in every possible way. The four months that remained until Hofit was conscripted were devoted to work and recreation. Over the years Hofit has gathered many friends and companies. She was unquestionably loyal to them and divided her time among everyone. Hofit liked to laugh, play around and hang out until morning, but she could also be serious when necessary. Her friends testify that she was the “psychologist” of everyone, she knew how to listen and listen, to offer good advice and to soothe in consoling words. Hofit, where she is, with a romantic soul, loved the beach and reached it at the end of every night. Her most beautiful and romantic moments were at sea. Different parties who joined the personality of Hofit, a Gemini, made her a fascinating and versatile person. Sometimes she was impulsive, moody, and sometimes not careful in her language, but the main thing – she was faithful to herself and her feelings. Aunt Nitzan summed it up: “Hofit filled her life with a lot of content that interested her, it was her whole purpose – to enjoy, to spend time, to dream about the future and not miss a moment.” Hofit looked at each person in his bodyWhere the eyes – never impressed by a profession, attribution or economic status, but rather examined the personality and personality of the person facing her. In her diary she documented her actions and thoughts and expressed her world view. She also had a notebook with a collection of sayings with her “credo” called “Little Secrets to a Good Life.” Hofit enlisted in the Intelligence Corps on 7 November 2001 and was stationed in Ramallah, at the headquarters of the IDF forces in the Judea and Samaria Division, as an intelligence officer. At first she was disappointed with the war room, the job and the people, but slowly she began to adjust, got along and began to enjoy her service, only three and a half months before her life was cut off Hofit fell in her role on Monday, February 14, Roads on the Ramallah bypass road. She was eighteen and nine months old. She was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. Survived by parents and two brothers. In the estate there are songs that she wrote, including the song “The Importance of Life”: “What is important in life / It is not scoring points / It is not how many people call you / Money or clothing / not if you have a lot of friends or if you’re alone / it’s not whether you’re acceptable or not / what matters in life is just not all of those things. This is trust, happiness and kindness. / This is support for friends and an internal exchange of hatred in love / What matters in life is to avoid jealousy / overcome ignorance / and build self-confidence. “The importance of life is the choice and the smile …” In the condolence letter to the bereaved family, the unit’s commander, Lieutenant- Maj. Gen. Dudan Dahan: “After a short period of overlap, Hofit has integrated into the war room and performed her exemplary work, combining seriousness with work with energy and joy of life, a high personal level and the creation of many friendships. In spite of the short time, the intensity of the work gave us the right to know the sweeping nature of the war, Of Hofit, to which we will miss very much. ” Many actions have been taken and are being done to commemorate Hofit. On the first anniversary of the fall of Hofit, an evening was held in her memory at Beit Yad Labanim in Rishon Letzion. The evening bore the title “Bech Hofit was the passion for the future but … the heart stopped and the smile disappeared.” This evening Moriah, her commanders, friends, and brothers spoke on the shore of the girl, the girl and the sister. At the end of the ceremony, all the participants take a guided tour of the beach and finish lunch. The activity continues throughout the day. Hofit’s friends prepared a memorial album containing her life story, pictures and a farewell letter. In memory of Hofit, a Facebook page was opened, in which Auntie Eli wrote: “We met today and as always our angel, smiling at us with your playful gaze, attractive with something and with eternal calm that conveys the heat that melts the heart … Yes we are smiling, the same curved line that straightens everything – But you know what? He does not always straighten everything, sometimes he curves again to the point where time stops, to the point where everything dwarfs and becomes small … long ago I lost the count and tell you the truth? Walking with me if as part of the keys to the house and the car, if in the picture in the wallet and especially the heart key, where will keep your place forever …. And the most in the world will never extinguish length, smile … “. Aunt Liza wrote: “You left traces behind you, / written words and floating letters / shoes in the hallway, / small messy things in a drawer, / a faded reflection in a mirror / phone that can not remember your voice / faded images that keep your smile / Your hand touched / I know that angels are guarding you / And there is no pain there, where everyone goes / And also knows that you will extend my hand / When my day comes to walk in your path. : “Hofit … Past Present Present / And You Are not Forever / Summer Winter Autumn Spring / And There Is No One Who Will Return You / And Head Over and Over Again / Your Picture Hofit sits in your pocket A / A longing for all who you are, everything that was / your voice that reverberates but not heard / Your hug is felt but without your touch / smile that is rising but not seen / Your gaze from your blue eye but not seen / And you have been taken away / and the times that we smile to ourselves and think that if you were here at that moment you would wash us with reprimands / make faces turn around and go like you only know how to do (but we already know, we just need to wait a bit) Laughs / and the situations we ask ourselves What would you say / If we were just standing / What a crushing sentence Hey Pulls out / and encourages us / it is not mandatoryLiving is a right to be alive, or you have to know how to use the moment / You would say / and from all heart we embrace / to smile from ear to ear / Conversations, quarrels, reconciliations, memories accumulated / trips, experiences, pleasures, moments never forgotten You have been part of our lives in your life / and part of our lives in your death … / Past , Present, future / you are always in our hearts / Zochrot and love you. “Article by Hofit’s grandmother, Shalva Scoop:” Along the sea, between the waves of life and the road, the light of day is extinguished – and your ship did not reach the safe shore . I always dreamed, I hoped, and with every blessing I wrote, I wished that you would moor a safe haven. But … I did not wish for such a beach. “So where are you, my princess, with your long hair, my precious beach, I have not always understood your heart’s secrets, but always have always loved and loved.” Irit wrote: “… when we examine, examine and think, You understand that you wanted to be able to do everything in life, taste everything, feel contact, give yourself everything, and carry the motto of life, and I quote from your words: ‘Enjoy, live, be perfect with yourself … and most of all, Something else.’ “Her father wrote:” A year of longing and agony has passed, the time is unbearable, and your image twirls before my eyes twenty-four hours a day. … God took you in a mighty boom. … I tried to be the best father in the world and I know you appreciated it. You always knew how to catch and soften me with the smallest things and knew all my sensitive points. … Life without you is not what it used to be. And I know they will not be back. I miss you and love you very much, “wrote his older brother, Gal.” I look at you now, a non-fatal memory, I have finally discovered what it is, and with hot, melancholy water flowing down the sides of the face. Maybe you’re even looking and your eyes are good, moist, and forgiving. … and suddenly I wake up for a few moments, I look and look straight-a pair of eyes piercing the horizon … I look at the cracked mirror, the timeless tunnel of time of my life and you are not … The stars are long asleep, the wind has run away from here, Only me and you are left, only me and you … “wrote the younger brother Almog:” I’m sitting in my room thinking. Why you, a sister who could have been a wonderful mother in the future, is gone. … I want you to come back but you can not. … I keep dreaming about you and dreaming that it will be better in the world, and safety precedes everything. Hofit, you were a nanny, you were with me during the difficult moments, now I say where are you? Disappears for a reason that should not have happened. If only someone had spoken it would not have happened, and you would have been here with me and me. Hello my lovely sister. “
