Son of Fatma and Yosef. Jamil was born in Kfar Samia on 18 May 1951. Was a member of the Druze community. He studied in elementary school in the village and then at the Tarshiha High School in a theoretical track, where he graduated from 12th grade.Jamil was an outstanding student, and he was a very high-quality boy who stood out in his handsome and extravagant appearance, In November 1969, Jamil was drafted into the IDF’s compulsory military service. He served in the Minority Unit, which worked to preserve the country’s borders. From the outset, he was a senior leader, and was sent to a course for commanders and an officers’ course, which he successfully completed. Jamil was appointed to a different officer position, promoted to the rank and rank ladder, and became deputy company commander. In this position he completed his service in the Israel Defense Forces and was discharged in November 1973. On 25 November 1973, just two days after his release from the IDF, Jamil was already a member of the Border Police. He was drafted with the rank of lieutenant colonel and assigned to the post of deputy platoon commander. During the years of his service he had advanced to the rank of captain. He served in a number of positions: commander of the Sayeret unit, platoon commander, operations officer and deputy company commander, and completed a commander’s course, A, whose seat in those days was in Lebanon. His commanders admired him as an industrious, enterprising, reliable, disciplined, and highly knowledgeable officer who carried out all his duties in the best possible way. Jamil’s relations with his commanders and subordinates were very good. In 1975, Jamil married a wife and lived with him in his parents’ home. Where his eldest daughter Aya was born, in conditions of overcrowding. He invested all his energy and energy in building his private apartment near his parents’ quarters, so that he would be able to build a family under the best conditions. A few years later, during which Raya and Madin were born, he moved with his family to his private apartment. Jamil was loved by his friends. He had many friends in and out of the village, and everyone respected him. Jamil loved the various kinds of agricultural work, liked sports activities and especially football games in the village. Be patient, pleasant, energetic and striving to move forward. Jamil fell in the second Tire disaster. During the Peace for Galilee War, while the IDF was operating against the PLO and Hizbullah organizations in Lebanon, the Border Police acted in collaboration with the Shin Bet to liquidate the nests of terrorists in the city of Tire. The fighters were housed in a facility that had two two-story buildings. On Friday, November 4, 1983, at 6:00 am, a pickup truck drove from the Rosh Hanikra-Zur road to the facility, which was surrounded by a dirt embankment and a perimeter fence and was secured with constant protection. The pickup truck drove the gunner’s suspicion and opened fire. Another guard who noticed the incident also opened fire at the suspect. Despite the fire, the truck broke through the entrance gate to the facility and entered between the two buildings. The suicide bomber detonated the 500 kilograms of explosives in the car and caused the buildings to collapse. Sixty people were killed, including twenty-eight members of the security establishment. Captain Jamil fell in the line of duty. He was thirty-two years old when he fell. He was buried in his family plot in the cemetery in Kfar Samia. Survived by a wife, two daughters and a son. In his obituary to Jamil, his commanders told him: “In the short period he served in the company, he managed to do a great job. Jamil, our dear one, quickly acquired the sympathy of all, and ascended above him as commander and as a member. We have lost the commander of all that is said to be nothing but a superior and precious personality. His memory will be in front of our eyes for many days “
