Molokandov, Emanuel


Son of Pinchas and Nikadam. Born on 13 February 1956 in Tajikistan in the Soviet Union, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1973. He studied at the elementary school in his hometown, Dushanbe, then studied for one year in high school and continued He worked in a large shoe factory during his day in Israel and settled in Netanya with his family in the diamond industry, where he worked as a diamond polisher in factories in Netanya and Tel Aviv. Emanuel was a sports fan and excelled in gymnastics and weight lifting. He had practiced for years in special power-tools to develop physical fitness, and if not for competitions. A cheerful and optimistic guy who loved to listen to songs and records, to sing in society, to travel and dance. He was a very sociable person and loved to help others. Like all members of his community, he kept in close contact with his extended family and members of the entire community and was about to marry a girl from the community. On the 22nd of Av 5736 (August 22, 1976) he fell while serving in the Nablus area. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents, three brothers and a sister. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of the unit wrote: “Emanuel was a good soldier, who always carried out his duty with devotion and out of a desire to help others and help his friends”
