Mokateran, Hasin
Son of Diva and Dave. He was born on February 4, 1956 in Kfar Shvili. He grew up and was educated in the village, where he graduated. Afterward, he worked with his parents in agriculture until his enlistment in the IDF, and in July 1974 he was drafted into the IDF and served four years as a tracker. Afterward, he served for several years in the Israel Prison Service, and in 1987 returned to the career army in the regional brigade in the north. During his service he participated in the Lebanon War. On June 4, 1989, Hossein fell in battle for the defense of the northern settlements. As a tracker, Husain led the patrol force to a terrorist squad that tried to penetrate Israel, and during the exchange of fire he was killed. He was buried in the village of Shvili. He left behind a woman – a saw, a mother, brothers and sisters. In a letter of condolence to his family, his commander wrote: “We are deeply saddened by the fall of your son, Major Hossein Mokhtaran, near the border fence on the Israel-Lebanon border. Hasin served in the brigade for about four years. He showed courage, dedication and sacrifice, which should serve as a model. “The Minister of Defense wrote to the family:” Allow me to participate with all my heart in your mourning. Hasin was a good soldier, devoted to his job, an investor, punctual, reliable and friendly. His memory is holy, and we are proudly crowned in our hearts. “A certificate of appreciation and respect for Hasin’s service in the army, signed by the head of manpower, was sent to the bereaved family.
